Hands down, you will not find a harder working captain on Lake Ontario. I've been fishing with Sam for almost 20 yrs now. I've been on two day trips where over 30 fish have been caught, and others, where only a few have. In both cases, the same enthusiasm and hard work to catch fish has always been demonstrated. Fishing with Capt. Sam has always and will continue to be the best Lake Ontario fishing can offer.

My experience with Captain Sam of Dream Catcher Charter’s was by far one of a lifetime. Our Memorial day weekend of 2010’s weather could not be any better, and the action was intense! We absolutely HAMMERED fish with an average of 14 plus lbs! When you hit fish not even 2 minutes after the first line is dropped, or you have to throw away 16lb fish due to limits, you KNOW its a good time!!! I have to say fishing with Sam had to be one of the best fishing trips that i have ever been on.We fished the first day for browns and caught your limit of nice browns,rainbows and steelhead.What was so impressive to me about fishing with Sam was the fact that he worked non stop switching colors,baits,depths and areas to insure we caught some beautiful fish.

Day 2 of fishing was absolutely awesome.We headed out deeper to fish for lakers and caught 25 lakers and released numerous fish between 15-20 pounds.Those fish were caught in only a half day of fishing.Again what was so impressive was again how hard Sam worked to insure that there was non stop action for us.The whole morning Sam changed colors,baits,depths and areas to keep the monster trout coming into the boat.At first glance i thought it was just a day the fish were hitting good until i heard all the other guides on the radio talking about how tough of a fishing day it was while the 3 of us on the boat had numerous lakers around the 20 pound mark.

Capt Sam did a great job in guiding our party of 5. He put us on fish for 2 days straight & on the second day we hit our limit. We will definitely book w/ him again. GREAT JOB CAPTAIN.
